Editorial: Inclusion of Natives overdue

Reflecting on the 125th annivesary of the Battle of Little Bighorn, the Lincoln Journal Star in an editorial today says the inclusion of Native viewpoints is long overdue.

The paper says that Native viewpoints help people to see the past more clearly.

Ten years ago, the site where the battle between the 7th Calvary and Sioux, Cheyenne and Arapaho warriors was renamed Little Bighorn Battlefield by Congress, dropping "Custer" from the national monument.
