NOVEMBER 10, 2000 Veterans of wars are being honored in Flandreau, South Dakota. The Indian Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Flandreau was presented with an eagle staff to represent the 38 Mdewakanton Sioux who were executed at Mankato, Minnesota, in 1862.
