EPA nominee bows out

Donald R. Schregardus on Monday withdrew his nomination for an enforcement post at the Environmental Protection Agency.

Schregardus faced criticism for his record as head of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and as a regional official at the EPA. The EPA recently released a report criticizing Ohio for lax enforcement of environmental laws during his tenure.
