THURSDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2001 A lawsuit the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut filed was to be discussed at a meeting last night in the town of North Stonington. The tribe and a development partner have sued the Inland Wetlands Commission of North Stonington over a proposed 18-hole golf course and resort. The project was approved by the commission but with a number of stipulations to address environmental concerns. The tribe and its partner believe the commission has no authority to impose the conditions. The partners want the restrictions lifted. Get the Story:
