FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2001 The Mohegan Tribe and the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe are battling it out over control of the gaming market in Connecticut. Overall, the market last month grew by 7.4 percent over October 200. In particular, The Mohegan Tribe, who is spending $1 billion to expand its Mohegan Sun casino, increased slot machine winnings by 22.5 percent, from $46 million to $56 million. The Pequot Tribe slumped slightly, as expected due to the Mohegan expansion. Slot machine wins fell by $2 million or about 3.2 percent. Get the Story:
