JUNE 5, 2001 A joint grant program announced on Monday is intended to help small tribes provide housing programs to tribal members. The $1 million in funds is being offered by the Department of Housing and Urban Development and a number of private partners. To be eligible, tribes or tribal housing organizations must must receive less than $200,000 annually in Indian Housing Block Grants and be able to match at least 25 percent of the grant.
