JANUARY 9, 2001 Nebraska State Senator DiAnna Schimek on Monday introduced a constitutional amendment which would allow casino-style gaming on reservations in the state. A similar proposal failed last year. A major opponent to it, a group called Nebraskans Against Expanded Gambling, turned out to have been funded by Iowa casino interests. Get the Story:
