JANUARY 24, 2001 Officials from Park Place Entertainment, the largest gaming company in the world, met with New York state lawmakers on Tuesday to pledge their continued support of an off-reservation casino proposed by the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe. Critics of Park Place say the company doesn't intend on following through with its plans for the Catskills casino.
