JANUARY 23, 2001 Hearings for a lawsuit brought by the Northern Arapaho Tribe against the state of Wyoming has been delayed for more than a month in order to provide more time for oral arguments, said a tribal spokesman. The tribe is suing the state for failing to negotiate in good faith a Class III gaming compact. The compact would alllow the tribe to operate casino-style gaming on the Wind River Reservation. The trial will begin on March 12 in US District Court in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Get the Story:
