OCTOBER 25, 2000 The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut plans on spending nearly $1.1 billion on an expansion to its casino, $265 million more than the originally budgeted. The tribe began construction on the new "Starburst" addition last year. It will include new gaming facilities and a hotel.
