MONDAY, AUGUST 6, 2001 One of the plaintiffs in a class-action lawsuit alleging discrimination against Hispanic farmers by the US Department of Agriculture wants other minorities to join together to fight the issue. Guadalupe L. Garcia is one of 98 plaintiffs who filed a $20 billion civil rights suit against the government. The government settled a similar one with African-American farmers. American Indian farmers have filed their own lawsuit, seeking $19 billion. Get the Story:
