OCTOBER 25, 2000 According to many analysts, the Supreme Court Justices are a critical issue in this year's election, as the new President will appoint two or three new members of the court. At a forum on Tuesday, President Clinton said a vote for George Bush could tip the scales and overturn Roe v. Wade, the historic abortion rights decision. He said the Court is moving towards "a new form of ultra-conservative judicial activism." Many Supreme Court decisions have been decided by close margins.
