JUNE 12, 2001 The defense team of former Massachusetts Institute of Technology student Lori Berenson wrapped up their closing arguments on Monday in Peru. Berenson, accused of helping rebels make a failed attempt at overthrowing Congress, will be allowed to make a final statement before a verdict is handed down on June 20.
