Family's home hotbed of radioactivity

The Environmental Protection Agency has destroyed the former home of the Holiday family but the health problems of members linger.

The EPA destroyed the hogan, located in Utah's Monument Valley, in April because it had been made with highly radioactive materials. The home was built with uranium ore some 40 years ago.

Members of the family had not lived in it for a decade but many still have health problems. Ashtma, arthritis, lung problems, and potential cases of lung cancer are among the ailments which have affected the family but the government hasn't spent any money to find out the extent of these problems throughout the Navajo Nation.
