JANUARY 31, 2001 The Navajo Nation will soon be running all of their health care facilities should the tribal council approve a $443 million proposal to take the services away from the Indian Health Service. Negotiations with IHS are set to begin in a month. IHS currently runs the seven health centers, six hospitals, and 15 health stations on the tribe's three-state reservation. Get the Story:
