OCTOBER 23, 2000 The possibility that a genetically modified corn product not meant for human consumption made its way into their product supply has cause the Kellogg Company to close down production at a plant in Michigan. The company confirmed the shutdown on Saturday. The company said they are confident in the products currently on shelves, which include various cereals made of corn products. The FDA has been testing various corn products for the presence of StarLink, the modified corn. But they have only found it in taco shells.
