FEBRUARY 27, 2001 Representatives Mike Simpson (R-Idaho) and Jim Hansen (R-Utah) this week plan on introducing legislation that would amend the Antiquities Act of 1906 and require the President to consult with local leaders on monument decisions greater than 50,000 acres.
