FEBRUARY 2, 2001 The Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma on Thursday finalized a $908,200 Department of Agriculture grant which will help them expand housing and other developments in Kay County. The tribe had received a $750,000 grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development but ran into sewage problems and couldn't build a wellness center. With the USDA grant, the tribe can now pay for a wastewater treatment system to ensure future development is environmentally sound. Get the Story:
