DECEMBER 22, 2000 The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, the state of Montana, and the Department of Transportation on Wednesday signed an agreement on the $120 million expansion of US 93 through the Flathead Reservation. The tribes and the state each had different views on the expansion. All three signed a memorandum of understanding which calls for expansion of some parts while a new environmental impact statement would be prepared for others. Get the Story:
