JUNE 29, 2001 At least one grave and a number of historic sites have been discovered on a property the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation wants to turn into a golf course. The tribe commissioned an archaeological study of the Lake of Isles property it owns. The tribe's archaeologist says the property contains 54 prehistoric and historic sites. To move forward with the golf course and resort, the tribe would have to remove 31 sites or build over them. Get the Story:
