The Nisqually Tribe has endorsed a proposal to name an Army urban-combat training center after Chief Leschi, who led a war against the Army about 150 years ago.

"Leschi Town" would be built in Fort Lewis. The $22 million facility would contain as many as 30 buildings, built in 2003 or 2004.
