OCTOBER 27, 2000 The Utah Board of Education plans to ask the Legislature for $154,500 to hire an education specialist and a secretary in hopes of improving Indian education. The director of the Utah Division of Indian Affairs says that an action plan he wrote on education has gone nowhere.
