OCTOBER 24, 2000 A monument in Junction City, Kansas, honors the city's Buffalo Soldiers, the name American Indians gave to African-Americans in the US Army. The city has five residents who were members of the Buffalo Soldiers. It was made up of black soldiers and white officers. The dedication of the memorial will take place this Saturday. Get the Story:
