MAY 15, 2000 Jeff Benedict, author of the recently published Without Reservation responded to allegations of shoddy research in a piece published by The New London Day. He wants Congress to launch a full investigation into the 1983 Mashantucket Pequot Settlement Act that granted the Mashantucket Pequot federal recognition as well as defined their land base. He also supports efforts to stop the federal recognition of the Eastern Pequot and Paucatuck Eastern Pequot tribes. Get the Story:
