MAY 10, 2000 On a recent stop in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Vice President Al Gore spoke on various issues raised by Native Americans who attended a special campaign meeting. Among the concerns voiced were a pardon for former Navajo Nation President Peter MacDonald, more funding for the Indian Health Service, and better job training in Indian Country.
