MAY 10, 2000

On a recent stop in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Vice President Al Gore spoke on various issues raised by Native Americans who attended a special campaign meeting.

Among the concerns voiced were a pardon for former Navajo Nation President Peter MacDonald, more funding for the Indian Health Service, and better job training in Indian Country.

After the April 28 meeting, Gore stopped by the Gathering of Nations.
