JULY 12, 2000 The Michigan Gaming Control Board is questioning the sale of casino shares by two couples to the Sault Ste. Marie Ojibwe Tribe. The couples want to sell their 40 percent ownership to the tribe, which would bring the tribe's stake in the Greektown casino in Detroit to 90 percent. The Board expressed concern that the couples could reinvest in the casino. The couples want to sell now in order to recoup potential losses on their original investment.
