Elim Natives will soon have 50,000 acres of land returned to them after the Senate recently passed a law to do so. The lands were taken away 71 years ago when fur trappers argued that the Natives did not need the property. The current legislation allows the corporation to select land north of its current holdings. The Elim corporation plans to allows public access to hot springs on the land and to not commerically log the land. Get the Story:
