An often deadly syndrome which broke out among the Navajo Nation several years ago has returned to the area, as state health official confirmed the first case of the Hantavirus this year. The San Juan County woman is undergoing treatment at a facility in Albuquerque and is listed in satisfactory condition. Officials from the Navajo Navajo Area Indian Health Service (IHS) are conducting an investigation at the woman's home. Since 1993, 23 out of 48 cases in New Mexico have resulted in death.
