JUNE 27, 2000 As the Kickapoo Tribe of Kansas faces their drought problems, two tribes in North Dakota are overcome with water. The Turtle Mountain and Spirit Lake reservations were among the areas hard hit by rain in the state. Governor Ed Schafer signed a federal disaster report on Monday, which will be submitted to the Federal Emergency Management Agency and forwarded to President Clinton. Get the Story:
