MAY 8, 2000 The Walthill Public School on the Omaha reservation in northeastern Nebraska has seen many recent improvements under the leadership of new superintendent Dr. James Deignan. Of a new leadership team put together by Dr. Deignan, Mia Merrick, Indianz.Com co-founder and grant writer for the school, said "Empowerment. That's what the leadership team is about, creating stakeholders." Merrick organized a one day conference for the team in February. Get the Story:
