Oklahoma City Indian Clinic Staff Recognized at 22nd Annual IHS, Tribal, and Urban Awards Ceremony

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC), a leading provider of health and wellness services to American Indians in central Oklahoma, proudly celebrated the outstanding achievements of its staff at the 22nd Annual Oklahoma City Area Director’s Indian Health Service Awards Ceremony. The event took place in Norman at the Riverwind Casino and honored both individual and team contributions to improving services within the Indian Health Service programs. The theme for this year’s awards was Resilience. 

Several OKCIC staff members and teams were honored for their excellence, leadership and commitment to Native health care:

  • Katelyn Bant, Physician Assistant – Peer Recognition Award

  • Dr. Natalie Frasier, Lead Dentist – Merit Award

  • Casey McCullough, Integrated Pharmacist – Individual Area Impact Award

  • OKCIC Pharmacy Team – Group Customer Service Award

  • OKCIC Sterilization Team – Group Patient Safety Award

  • Yvette Morrison, Pharmacy Clinic Manager – Healthcare Leadership Award

  • Lysa Ross, Chief Operating Officer – Lifetime Achievement Award

“I’m grateful for the patients that I see every day, knowing I’m giving them the best care I can give them, and knowing that my work is noticed by my co-workers means so much,” Katelyn Bant, OKCIC Physician Assistant and Peer Recognition Awardee. “It lets me know that I’m not only making an impact on patients’ lives, but those I work with as well.”

The clinic’s leadership also reflected on the importance of celebrating the individuals who bring its mission to life.

“OKCIC’s leadership emphasizes the importance of recognizing the individuals whose passion and dedication make the clinic’s mission a reality.” said Robyn Sunday-Allen, Chief Executive Office of OKCIC. “Their resilience and dedication shows on a daily basis, and honoring their efforts and accomplishments lets them know they truly make a difference.”

OKCIC remains committed to delivering compassionate, culturally respectful care while continuing to pursue its vision to be the national model for American Indian health care. The clinic extends its sincere congratulations to all honorees for their hard work, leadership, and service to both OKCIC and the Native community.
