Dolly Tatofi performs a Native Hawaiian oli, or chant, on February 12, 2024.

Tatofi is Kanaka ʻŌiwi from Hawaii. She serves on the board of directors for Pouhana O Nā Wāhine, the Congressionally-recognized Native Hawaiian resource center on domestic violence.

Tatofi appeared at an event hosted by the National Congress of American Indians and the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center in Washington, D.C.

The two organizations celebrated the 20-year anniversary of their efforts to restore tribal sovereignty and increase Native women’s safety through NCAI’s Violence Against Women Task Force and Restoration Magazine, a publication of the NIWRC.
