S.3123, A bill to address hunting, fishing, trapping, and animal gathering rights of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians in Oregon. The legislation addresses a long-standing issue tied to the restoration of federal recognition to the tribe, whose status had been terminated by the U.S. government. A hearing took place on February 16.

S.3126, A bill to address hunting, fishing, trapping, and animal gathering rights of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community in Oregon. The legislation addresses a long-standing issue tied to the restoration of federal recognition to the tribe, whose status had been terminated by the U.S. government. A hearing took place on February 16.

S.3273, the Agua Caliente Land Exchange Fee to Trust Confirmation Act. The bill places about 2,560 acres into trust for the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. The lands, currently managed by the Bureau of Land Management, are of cultural and historical importance to the tribe, located in southern California. A hearing took place on February 16.

H.R.1975, Pala Band of Mission Indians Land Transfer Act of 2021. The bill places about 721 acres into trust for the Pala Band of Mission Indians. The land is located around Gregory Canyon, a sacred area in San Diego County in California that was once slated for development before the tribe started a campaign to preserve it. A hearing took place on November 19, 2021. H.R.1975 passed the U.S. House of Representatives on November 2, 2021, following consideration on November 1.

H.R.4881, Old Pascua Community Land Acquisition Act. The bill places land into trust for the Pascua Yaqui Tribe and declares it to be part of the tribe’s reservation. The land is located in Tucson, Arizona, and will be eligible for gaming purposes. A hearing took place on November 19, 2021. The House passed H.R. 4881 on November 2 following consideration on November 1.
