The Decade of Indigenous Languages
This month kicks off the United Nations International Decade of Indigenous Languages.
The declaration aims to raise global awareness of the importance of language and to improve resources, especially for languages most in danger of being lost.
To mark the occasion the First Nations Institute released its report highlighting the importance of immersion programs.
