A tribal citizen has taken a top law enforcement post at the Department of the Interior.

Darren Cruzan is serving as the "acting" director of the Office of Law Enforcement Services, The Washington Post reported. His name was placed on the office's webpage sometime in the last few days.

Cruzan replaces Tim K. Lynn in the post. Lynn retired after an internal investigation said he sexually harassed six women at Interior, The Post reported.

"I take issues of sexual harassment very seriously," Secretary Ryan Zinke, the new leader of the department, said during his confirmation hearing in January.

Cruzan is a long-time employee of the Bureau of Indian Affairs. According to his biography, he joined the agency in 1995 and held a variety of law enforcement posts across Indian Country. He left the BIA in 2006 for a stint at the Department of Defense and returned in 2010 to work for the Office of Justice Services at the central office in Washington, D.C.
