Former comptroller of Crow Tribe accused of embezzling $28K

A former employee of the Crow Tribe of Montana has been indicted in federal court on embezzlement charge.

Karla Elizabeth MacCatherine is accused of stealing $28,000 between February 2013 and August 2014. During that time, she served as the tribe's comptroller, according to her LinkedIn profile.

MacCatherine, who previously worked as an accountant for the tribe, has since worked in finance positions at two other places in Montana, according to the profile.
