Mescalero Apache Tribe holds inauguration for leadership posts

Voters of the Mescalero Apache Tribe of New Mexico re-elected their top two leaders.

President Danny Breuninger, Sr. and Vice President Gabe Aguilar were sworn into office on Friday, The Ruidoso News reported. Both leaders are serving their second terms on the council.

Also sworn into office were Christie LaPaz Jr., Helen Klinekole, Caroline Valdez and Kenny Blazer.

The council consists of nine seats.
