Northern Cheyenne man convicted of aggravated sexual abuse

Olaf James Haugen, a member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe of Montana, was convicted of aggravated sexual abuse by a federal jury last week.

Haugen, 29, was charged in January for raping and beating a woman in August 2013. Documents filed in federal court showed that the victim sustained numerous injuries after being sexually assaulted, bitten and threatened with a knife at a home in Lame Deer.
