The event titled Bull Riders Only Challenge presented by the Lakota Nation and Slick Phelps is set to take place on Friday, December 18, 2015, at the James Kjerstad Event Center in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Last year Phelps was a senior at Little Wound High School in route to the first of his two Indian Rodeo world titles, this year, he is now a multiple time world champion hosting his own bull rider’s challenge. Organizers of the event say that they do not see the event clashing with the Lakota Nation Invitational basketball tournament that will be playing its championship games the night of the tournament but that it will add to the already high number of positive events taking place in the city.
