The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes of Idaho are recognizing their veterans.

The tribe is issuing new identification cards free of charge to its veterans. The cards feature the tribal seal, an eagle and the U.S. flag, along with the name of the branch of military in which the tribal member served.

"It is very important to honor our veterans of the different armed forces," council member Devon Boyer said in a press release. “They have given us our past and future, a wonderful place to call home for all of our families and children to live."
