A cross-country team from the Hopi Reservation in Arizona is vying for its 26th straight title this Saturday. The boys from Hopi High have the longest cross-country winning streak of any school in the U.S. They also maintain the fourth-longest active run for any high school sport, The New York Times reported. “Hopi have that running blood in them,” coach Juwan Nuvayokva, himself a champion runner, told the paper. “It’s up to us to find it and use it.” The girls team has an equally impressive record -- 22 wins in 28 seasons.
