CROW AGENCY, Mont. –– Congressman Ryan Zinke, (R-MT) has taken the bull by the horns in the 114th session of Congress by establishing a Natural Resources Advisory Committee to assist himself and staff on energy-related decisions. He recently tapped CJ Stewart, an elected Senator of the Crow Tribal Legislature to serve on this select group, calling Stewart a “national energy expert”, in particular pointing to Stewarts’ leadership and advocacy for tribal coal development.

Stewart, now in his 10th year as an elected member of the Crow Legislature, said “I am humbly honored to accept the appointment to this position. I will try my best for Indian Country, especially energy producing tribal nations, the State of Montana and America as a whole.”
