Former NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb keeps getting into trouble in Indian Country.

McNabb, 38, was arrested on June 28 after police said he rear-ended a vehicle on the Gila River Indian Community in Arizona. The other car was being driven by the wife of a tribal officer, the Associated Press reported.

Police said McNabb appeared to be heavily intoxicated and his blood alcohol level was 0.171, or more than twice the legal limit. But the former Philadelphia Eagles player told officers that the high reading was the result of ingesting cold medicine, according to video of the arrest that was first posted by TMZ.

McNabb now faces a second DUI conviction. His first stems from a drunken-diving arrest on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community in December 2013. He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor.
