A television pilot is due to be filmed on at least three reservations in Washington.

The Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe authorized filming for the “The Rainforest," The Peninsula Daily News reported. The show's storyline is fictional but creator Scott A. Capestany will employ cultural consultants to ensure authenticity.

“That component, now, is going to be told the through the eyes of the S'Klallam tribe and their historians. We are working with their team of storytellers. We are just honored to have that partnership,” Capestany told the paper.

Capestany is also working with the Quileute Nation and the Quinault Nation for scenes on their reservations, the paper reported. Filming for the pilot is expected to begin this summer in anticipation of selling the show to a network.
