The Snoqualmie Tribe of Washington held a council election on May 9.

Five seats on the council were up for grabs. Incumbents Robert de los Angeles, Sharon Frelinger, and Steve de los Angeles were re-election while Richard Zambrano and Daniel Willoughby secured the other seats.

“We were thrilled to see so many of our members attend the meeting,” Chairwoman Carolyn Lubenau said in a press release. “The annual meeting is an important time to conduct official tribal business and celebrate recent successes for our Tribe and the Snoqualmie people.”

Following the election, the council selected its officers. Sunny E. Clear will serve as vice chairwoman, Alisa M. Burley as tribal secretary and Richard V. Zambrano as treasurer.

The council has nine members and two alternates.
