The annual journey along the Potawatomi Trail of Death will take place in June.

The Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary is coordinating the pilgrimage. It traces the forced removal of the Potawatomi people from Indiana to Kansas in 1838.

The 660-mile journey begins near Plymouth, Indiana, on June 23. Participants are due to arrive in Osawatomie, Kansas, on June 29.

Along the way, the group will meet with the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation of Kansas and the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, whose descendants were relocated to Oklahoma.
