A beer distributor says it has been the target of harassment following the racist treatment of 57 Indian students at a hockey game in Rapid City, South Dakota, last weekend.

Eagle Sales rents a suite at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. The company said it loaned the suite to a client and it was those guests yelled racist insults at children from the American Horse School and poured beer on them.

"To be clear, we take this matter very seriously and we will continue to monitor the situation closely and are currently in the process of educating our employees, corporate partners and community about responsibility and creating a game day experience that is enjoyable for everyone," Eagle Sales owner Tom Helland said in a statement that was posted on Facebook. "Additionally, we at Eagle Sales have changed our policy for corporate sponsor attendance within our suite to ensure an incident like this will never occur again."

Helland previously apologized to the students and their families. But Facebook users continue to leave negative comments on the company's page.

Authorities in Rapid City are investigating the incident, which occurred January 24 at the Rapid City Rush game. Charges of assault, hate crime and child abuse are possible -- at least one person has been identified as a suspect.

The school is located on the Pine Ridge Reservation, home to the Oglala Sioux Tribe.
