Crosscut to present special award to late activist Billy Frank Jr.

Crosscut will present a special award later this month to the late treaty rights activist Billy Frank Jr.

Frank died in May 2014 after dedicating his life to protecting the treaty rights of tribes in the Pacific Northwest. His efforts will be recognized with the first irst David Brewster Lifetime Achievement Award in Courage.

The award ceremony will take place October 23 at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center in Seattle, Washington.
