The Navajo Nation is holding auditions this month for roles in a Navajo-dubbed version of Finding Nemo.

The tribe secured permission from Walt Disney Studios to translate the animated film into the Dine language. It's due to be released next spring.

"I think translating it will give them a chance to catch on to Navajo faster because they can see how it is used," Marilyn Reeves, a tribal member who hopes her grandchildren will enjoy seeing the film in their own language, told Reuters.

Auditions will be December 19 and December 20. The Navajo Nation Museum is signing up interested actors who can speak the language.

Finding Nemo is the second to be dubbed in the tribal language. The first, Star Wars, drew widespread attention.
