President Barack Obama is meeting with tribal leaders this morning ahead of the White House Tribal Nations Conference.

The meeting is taking place at the White House. Obama will discuss a wide range of issues directly with 12 tribal leaders who represent 12 different regions in Indian Country.

Tomorrow, Obama will address a much larger group of tribal leaders for the conference. It's taking place at the Capitol Hilton rather than the main Interior Department due to ongoing renovations at the building.

Today's meeting is not open to the press. Most of tomorrow's conference will be webcast at www.doi.gov/live.
